Carl Diehl and Nat Hawks made this album in Syracuse, NY in 1999. It was released on very limited cassette (maybe 20-30 were distributed to friends?). The concept of this group came from Carl: to further explore video games' (specifically Nintendo) sonic soundscape.

We did a live performance as Cathode Rays at the Metaphorestry gallery in Syracuse that invited participants to play one of the eight Nintendo set-ups around the gallery and we live mixed all of the sounds. It went on for about 2 hours before we blew all the receivers (sorry mom and dad!).

Most of the tracks are home recordings, but some are live (see insert images).
